Brakes

Money can’t buy experience and we have it in spades. For almost four decades we have been providing car, van, ute and truck brakes for Miranda, Caringbah, Taren Point, the Sutherland Shire, St George and surrounds.

It is important to remember that the brake system on your car plays a very important role in keeping both you and your vehicle safe from accidents and other potentially dangerous events. In fact, if your brakes do not work properly then it is extremely dangerous to drive, because you are relying on your brake system to keep you and the people in your car safe. It is vital that you make sure your brakes are in good working order, but how can you do this if you haven’t done the proper brake safety check and repair? Paul Flood Automotive will help you understand how you should go about making sure that your brakes stay safe and working properly.

To start with, you need to regularly check your brakes to make sure they are being maintained according to safety standards. In fact, you should do this once a month, or at the very least once every 12 months. This is very important, as brake failure can lead to severe injuries or even death. It is not uncommon for brake pads to get worn out to the point where they are no longer effective when stopping quickly. So, you should make sure to have brake safety check and repair as soon as possible, or as soon as you notice wear in your brakes.

Depending on what kind of vehicle you drive, you may need to do more than just check your brakes. The brake fluid and the brake pads need to be changed at least annually. If you do not change your brakes, you may run the risk of them freezing up and causing an accident. The same is true of the brake dust which tends to collect on the brake pads. You want to try and remove as much of this as possible, so make sure to follow your vehicle’s manual to the letter when doing this.

Another important part of brake safety check and repair is to ensure that you check the hoses, seals, and other parts of the brake system for any signs of wear. These signs can include any cracks, which run across the body of the car. Check the brake fluid as well to make sure that it is full and working properly. There are several different brake fluids available, and some of them are specifically designed for use in particular vehicles, so always make sure you are using the correct one.

As you look over your brakes, you also need to check the brake lights as well, especially if you are in an area with bad weather. If your brakes fail to work, you need to make sure that you know how to check them so that you do not brake before you are expected to. You should also make sure that you know how to change the brake fluid and how to perform any maintenance on your brakes as necessary.

We at Paul Flood Automotive ensures to check your brake safety and repair as well. We are experts available in Miranda, Caringbah, and Taren Point.
